FACILITIES: DETAILING
Fabrication details are prepared in the Drawing Office with use of StruCad 3D systems or 2D systems, from fully dimensioned layout drawings prepared by a Consulting Engineer, or the Design Office, for approval prior to fabrication.
Pre-Engineering the structure for Design & Build projects is included prior to detailing, using fully dimensioned Architects Drawings. The amount of Pre-Engineering required for projects designed by a Consulting Engineer is established at tender stage.
Where connections are to be made to an existing building, an on site survey will be carried out to establish levels and dimensions to enable site work and fabrication to be carried out to suit.
The 3D detailing system automatically produces cutting lists, bolt lists and delivery schedules. The office is fully networked to allow information to be issued electronically to the Buying office, and our CAD/CNC plant for fabrication. |
