FACILITIES: FABRICATION
Fabrication is carried out in accordance with our documented Quality Assurance procedures, and the BCSA National Structural Steelwork Specification for Building Construction, or Engineers specifications.
Welders are qualified to BS EN 287 and welding procedures qualify to BS EN 288. Weld testing is carried out by an independent testing company.
The works contain automated drilling, sawing and fitting plant linked directly to the drawing office detailing system. Fabrication is complemented by our shotblasting and painting facilities.
Fabrication is completed on a ‘just in time’ basis to suit the on site erection sequence, and current ‘Fast-Track’ construction methods.
H. Young Structures are currently preparing all procedures to enable CE Marking when it becomes mandatory in the UK.
