FACILITIES: SURFACE FINISHING
Material are shotblasted to SA2½ in house, which conform to BS7079. The steelwork is painted in accordance with BS5493, to the engineers specification, using materials to provide a cost and time effective solution.
Thickness of coatings are tested in accordance with our quality procedures. The paint application process is reviewed regularly by the paint manufacturer.
The majority of our steelwork is painted light grey, using one of the following available paints, other primers / colours will be considered if required:

EPIGRIP M400 ZINC PHOSPHATE PRIMER 75 –200 microns per coat. |

EPIGRIP C400V3 ZINC PHOSPHATE PRIMER/BUILDCOAT 100-250 microns
per coat. |

LEIGH’S M155 MATT PROTECTIVE FINISH 75 – 120 microns per coat. |

EPIGRIP J984 ZINC RICH PRIMER 75 microns per coat. |
Alternatively a galvanised finish to
BS ISO 1461:1999, or off site intumescent coating in accordance with SCI P160, can be provided. |
