Fabrication details are prepared by our in-house Drawing Office, using Tekla 3D systems, from fully dimensioned layout drawings prepared by a Consulting Engineer, or from our in-house design office for design and build projects.
Once detailed, drawings are sent to the client for approval before fabrication commences.
Pre-engineering the structure for Design & Build projects is included prior to detailing, using fully dimensioned Architects Drawings. The amount of pre-engineering required for projects designed by a Consulting Engineer is established at tender stage.
The 3D detailing system automatically produces general arrangement drawings, assembly and production drawings, cutting lists, bolt lists and delivery schedules.
The office is fully networked to allow information to be issued electronically to the Buying office, and our CAD/CNC plant for fabrication.
Tekla detailing software is fully compatible with all current BIM software. H Young Structures are certified to BIM level 2 and can produce models of the steelwork frame to incorporate with clients BIM models.
Where connections are to be made to an existing building, an on site survey will be carried out to establish levels and dimensions to enable site work and fabrication to be carried out to suit.
